Grosjean: “Full of hope for the future”

Romain Grosjean seems eager to have a new opportunity to showcase itself after the potential shown last month in Melbourne (Australia). The Frenchman and his teammate Kevin Magnussen were fighting for a Top 5 before both abandoning following a tire changing problem in the pits.

If the disappointment is great for the 2011 GP2 Series champion, the latter prefers to concentrate on the positive elements glimpsed during the first round of the season.

“Let’s put this behind us. I would rather fight for 4th place than finish 15th in every race, emphasized the pilot Haas. My team has always been there to support me when I needed it. Everything is pushed to the maximum: driving, engineering or pit stops. Mistakes happen. We are a team and I’m happy to be with my guys. I know they are also happy to be there for me. »

“It gives us lots of hope for the future. We have to see how it works at the other circuits, but I think it's a very positive start. We’re all really looking forward to the next race.”, confirmed the Frenchman.

Romain Grosjean will have the opportunity to try his luck again next weekend at the Bahrain GP. The French driver has often achieved good results on the Sakhir circuit since he finished in the points five times in six starts, including twice on the podium in 2012 and 2013 with Lotus.

“I love riding in Bahrain, confirms the Frenchman. I have always had a good feeling there and I find this track exciting for racing and overtaking. The best opportunities are at turns n°1, n°3, n°11 and n°15. They make it one of the best circuits for racing. »
