Grosjean: “Harder with the penalty” in Canada

Romain Grosjean will look to redeem himself after experiencing a disappointing weekend in Monaco. While he showed good potential during free practice in the Principality, the former GP2 champion made mistakes three times, his race ending in the rear wing of Daniel Ricciardo. The Frenchman left with a feeling of disappointment to which was added a ten-place penalty on the grid for the Canadian Grand Prix. With the desire to do well and the memories of his podium won last year on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit, the Frenchman is not letting himself be discouraged and hopes to be able to move up the peloton by taking advantage of all opportunities.

“We had a sensational result last year and we will try to do as well this year”, comments Romain Grosjean who will compete in the Canadian Grand Prix for only the second time. “It will definitely be a little harder with the penalty, but we will try to rise to the challenge. The layout is interesting, it is not easy to learn. But as we often say: we love the track when we get a good result there. I would really like to finish on the podium again. I like the feeling of being close to the walls, although I learned in Monaco that I don't like being too close to them either. »
