Grosjean delighted to discover the Mexican GP

Romain Grosjean is impatient to discover the Hermanos Rodriguez circuit refurbished for the return of the F1, 23 years after the last edition won by Nigel Mansell for Williams-Renault. The pilot Lotus, who remains on two withdrawals in Sochi (Russia) and Austin (Texas) will be keen to shine at this new meeting of the discipline.

“It’s always nice to discover a new route. I remember watching the Mexican GP on TV as a kid, especially when Senna rolled in the last corner (in practice for the 1991 Mexican GP). The new track appears to have more slow corners, but it still has a very long straight and it will be interesting to see who is quickest., commented Romain Grosjean.

“The city is at altitude (2250m)... I don't think this will cause any problems for the pilots, but I know that the engineers will have to change some calculations such as brake cooling. But each track has its characteristics and I'm sure I'll adapt to them very quickly." added the Lotus driver.
