Grosjean apologizes for Canadian GP mistake

Romain Grosjean admitted that he was responsible for the collision with Will Stevens at the Canadian GP. The Lotus driver was fighting for 5th place when he fell back on the Briton's Manor who was unable to avoid contact. The Frenchman returned to the pits with a puncture and was only able to salvage a 10th place, the 5-second penalty imposed on him not having caused him to lose any position.

If the former GP2 Series champion initially indicated to his team that it was Will Stevens who had hit him, he quickly realized the facts after the race. “Traffic can be difficult to manage on this circuit. I was slowed down a few times even with the blue flags”, explained Romain Grosjean. “I thought I had passed the Manor but that was clearly not the case. This is entirely my fault and I apologize. A pilot never stops learning. »
