Grosjean: Singapore, “the most difficult track”

The Singapore Grand Prix is the only round on the calendar Formula 1 to take place entirely at night. Romain Grosjean (Haas), whose best result was a seventh place in 2012 with Lotus, enjoyed this meeting.

“It gives beautiful images on television. Seeing this snake of lights in the middle of the city is very cool. The light is very well distributed on the circuit for the drivers. For us, it's almost easier to have the same lighting throughout the route. » There is in fact no shaded part.

The Marina Bay track is the twistiest in F1, with 23 corners. The challenge is particularly high for pilots. “There is no corner more difficult than another. They are all complicated to negotiate.

This is the most difficult track in terms of temperature, heat, concentration and length. Often, the limit of two hours of effort is reached. But I don't do anything special to prepare for it, I just continue my routine and try to arrive as fresh as possible. »
