Grosjean gets his first front row

At Hockenheim a week ago, never since the start of the season had we seen Romain Grosjean fight so much with his Lotus E20. But the Frenchman and his team have worked hard since their arrival in Hungary to pinpoint those little things preventing the outgoing GP2 champion from pushing his car to its limits. And the work has apparently paid off, since Romain takes his first 1st row of the starting grid.

“After a difficult German Grand Prix and a complicated start to the weekend here, it’s good to be back at the front, he emphasizes with a smile. Being second today is a very good thing. We know our car performs well in the race. This is also my best result in qualifying. I am very happy for myself, for the team after the work that has been done. Being on that front row is a great feeling, especially here at the Hungaroring, where we know overtaking is difficult. We've been saying for a long time that we need to be here on the front lines. The first part of the job is done. Hopefully tomorrow we will have our usual pace in the race, that we will be able to preserve our tires as we want, in order to engage in some good battles with the guys in front. »

A podium, or even more, is within the Frenchman’s reach.
