Romain Grosjean was in difficulty during the first tests of the Russian GP in Sochi. The pilot Haas only set the 14th time in EL2, 6 tenths behind his teammate Kevin Magnussen. The former GP2 Series champion notably suffered from brake problems while the American team switched from Brembo calipers to Carbon Industries.
“It was one of the worst Fridays since the start of the season, recognized Romain Grosjean in the Russian GP paddock. The car doesn't work, especially on my side. We are particularly suffering from brake problems on the long stints even though it is our first weekend with the Carbon Industrie. The pedal no longer worked at all at a certain point in FP2. »
Romain Grosjean even found himself spinning in the last corner, despite everything avoiding damaging his Haas VF17.
“The outlook for the rest of the weekend is not very bright. I hope the car will work better tomorrow because I don't understand how we could have regressed when it suited me well before." added Romain Grosjean.
