F1 2025 Guide – Esteban Ocon: “I hope this will be the season of renewal for me”

In January, you started your new school year at Haas. How did you discover this new team?

Very good. Since last year, the preparation has been very busy. Between my physical training and the preparations at the factory, we had quite a few days to prepare well and move things forward. The starting point was the test in Abu Dhabi (December 9th, the day after the last GP of the seasonn. Ed.) Since then, we have planned several visits to the factory, regular meetings with the engineers to see where the development of the parts I needed was at and to decide what things needed to be changed. We have done a lot of simulator sessions at Maranello (at Ferrari. Editor's note) between the 2024 car and the 2025 car. We're moving in the right direction, so for now, I'm pretty happy.

You were able to drive the VF-24 in Abu Dhabi. Did this test allow you to target the strengths and weaknesses of the Haas and the differences with theAlpine ?
