Gutiérrez hopes Sauber will be better in Malaysia

If the Sauber C33s demonstrated reliability in Melbourne, the exclusion of Daniel Ricciardo was not enough to allow Adrian Sutil and Esteban Gutiérrez to get into the points. The Mexican, who is competing in his second season with the Swiss team, is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel on the Sepang track which will offer different characteristics which could further benefit the Swiss team.

« The Sepang circuit is completely different compared to Melbourne, it will be interesting to get an impression of the car on such different routes", underlines Esteban Gutiérrez who finished in 12th place last year. “The track is quite smooth, it’s less bumpy (than in Melbourne). We will be able to have better braking sensations, a point where we suffered a lot. We will be able to test the downforce and balance of the car in high-speed corners. The settings will also be significantly different. We are not satisfied with our performance at the moment and we must stay united as a team to improve on every little detail. »
