Haas condemns Mazepin's 'detestable' behavior

Nikita mazepin will he achieve the small feat of getting fired before even taking his first start in Formula 1?

The Russian, who must join Haas F1 Team in 2021, is in the eye of the storm after posting a video of him engaging in inappropriate behavior towards a young woman in a car.

The 21-year-old pilot quickly deleted the images from his social networks but they had already had time to go around the web. Haas immediately condemned the behavior of the one who must support Mick Schumacher next year.

« Haas absolutely does not condone the behavior of Nikita Mazepin in a video recently posted on social networks, informed the American team. The mere fact that a video was posted online is downright disgusting. The incident is being handled internally and we will not offer further comment. ».

This is not the first time that Mazepin has hit the headlines. The hot-blooded Russian stood out in a negative way in 2016 when he stuck his fist in Callum Ilott's face after a qualifying session for the European Championship. Formula 3

Feeling the wind, Mazepin apologized online.

« I would like to apologize for my recent behavior, both because these actions were inappropriate and also because a video was posted online, wrote the one who finished 5th in the last championship of Formula 2

I am sorry for the justified outrage I have caused, and I am sorry for embarrassing the Haas team. I have to hold myself to very high standards as an F1 driver. I have disappointed a lot of people, starting with myself. I promise to learn the necessary lessons from it ».

Last week, Guenther Steiner assured that he had strong enough shoulders to manage two rookies, including one with a potentially problematic temperament. We wish him good luck with Mr. Mazepin.
