Haas confident in the strength of its relationship with Ferrari

Major partner of Sauber since the mid-90s, before the BMW period, Ferrari announced the continuation of its relationship with the structure ofHinwil, following the breakdown of the agreement previously established between the Swiss team and Honda.

The team, now led by Frenchman Frédéric Vasseur, was able to count on the immediate support of Maranello for the engine supply over several seasons. A turnaround that does not worry Günther Steiner and the Haas F1 Team, closely linked to Ferrari since its debut in 2016.

« I don't think [that this will impact us], comments the Haas Team Principal quoted by Sky Sports F1. We look after ourselves and our partnership with Ferrari. If they are in a relationship with someone else...No one asks us what we think or what they should do.

I think our relationship is strong. I think it will continue as well as now. I think without them we wouldn't be where we are now. » Haas F1 Team has indeed negotiated the change in the new regulations well, and took advantage of the developments made by Ferrari on its V6 turbo/hybrid Power Unit to display good performances in 2017.

The American team has already scored more points than in 2016 at the same time, but above all seems confident about to his abilities in the second half of the season, with two drivers capable of entering the top 10 with Romain Grosjean et Kevin Magnussen, which only the Frenchman was able to achieve last year.
