Haas confirms Kevin Magnussen in 2017

Kevin Magnussen will play in his third team for his 3rd season in F1. The Dane will join Haas F1 Team to replace Esteban Gutiérrez and evolve alongside Romain Grosjean after having defended this season the colors of Renault Sports F1 Team.

“I am confident in my abilities as an F1 driver, but I also believe in the potential of Haas F1 Team for its second season and those that follow, commented Kevin Magnussen. Gene Haas arrived in F1 with a long-term vision and a different approach. He works there and he does well. »

Gene Haas, the owner of the team of the same name, says he has closely followed the developments of Kevin Magnussen from the start.

« Kevin Magnussen has always been in our list since we were studying drivers, commented the American businessman. He accomplished himself in a very short time and we believe he will achieve great things with us. The presence of Kevin and Romain will be very useful to us. Kevin Magnussen had been expected to join Haas F1 Team for several days. Esteban Gutierrez confirmed this morning that he will no longer be part of the American team next year.
