Haas unveils its new colors for 2019

It comes as no surprise that Haas unveiled this Thursday, February 7 its colors for the 2019 season of Formula 1. The livery of the car VF-19 driven by Romain Grosjean et Kevin Magnussen is a combination of black and gold.

The origin of this color comes from the title sponsor of the American team. The Rich Energy energy drink, founded by Briton William Storey, has a black and gold design. “Forming a partnership with the team has already significantly increased the rating of our brand”, he says.

“This is the time of the season when you think you have the right design and are competitive from the start, specifies Gene Haas, the team manager. The new decoration is differente. I hope the design changes made in 2019 (with notably a simplified front wing as can be seen in the photos. Editor’s note) will improve the racing on track, and more importantly, give us the opportunity to have a greater influence at each Grand Prix. »

Team principal Günther Steiner adds: « It is crucial to maintain progress. 2018 was our best season yet (fifth of the Manufacturers with 93 points), but this campaign also demonstrated that there are still areas for improvement. »
