Haas and Formula 1, it's a story that has been going on since 2016. Without taking into account the various name or brand changes of the different teams on the grid, the American team is also the youngest of the ten to compete in 2025, and this before the arrival of Cadillac in the paddocks next year.

For the Canadian Grand Prix, the Kannapolis-based team wanted to pay tribute to its first season, and more specifically to the first of its 200 races in the premier class. Tinted in black and red, like this year, the livery is also enhanced with gray, recalling the first features of the VF-16 that took part in the 2016 season won at the time by Nico Rosberg with Mercedes. Also of note, the names of the team members will be displayed on the carbon front wing of the car.

Haas makes successful debut in 2016

Eighth in the Constructors' standings ahead of Sauber and Manor, Haas had notably scored points from its debut thanks to a certain Romain Grosjean. A Haas driver between 2016 and 2020, the Frenchman earned 29 points for his team in his first year, the total number of points earned by the team at the end of his first season. Mexican Esteban Gutierez, who was associated with the Tricolore, did not score any points that year.

In Montreal, Haas hopes to draw inspiration from Romain Grosjean's performance in this first Grand Prix. The former Lotus driver, who finished sixth, made a strong impression at the wheel of his VF-16. That year, however, Canada was not a success for the driver duo, as neither American car managed to score any points from 13th and 14th places.
