Haas F1 Team and Alfa Romeo Racing should benefit from increased engine performance during the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend, by having the engine evolution brought by Ferrari on the Italian V6 turbo/hybrid.
A “spec 2” already seen in action on the two SF90 single-seaters of the Scuderia in Spain, but on which the client teams of Maranello had not been able to count on in Catalonia.
As indicated in the Monegasque paddock, the VF19s of Romain Grosjean et Kevin Magnussen, as well as the C38s of Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi will therefore be tied in terms of powertrain against the SF90, even if engine power is not the main element of a successful performance on the tortuous track against -bottom of the Rock.
Ferrari had decided to bring forward the introduction of this technical novelty in Spain, while the first plan of the Italian technical team was to mount this development for the Canadian Grand Prix.
