If there was one team that was looking forward to 2022, even more than all the others, it was Haas. Author of the worst season in its history last year, the American structure finished with the dunce cap screwed on its head, without any points scored. It nevertheless had an admissible excuse, that of having made the assumed decision to completely sacrifice 2021 in order to concentrate its modest resources on the year to come, marked by the greatest technical revolution of the XNUMXst century in Formula 1. Günther Steiner and his teams have not touched the car since the first Grand Prix held in Bahrain on March 28. So there was no miracle. “2022 will mark a new beginning for everyone, so for us too, explains Simone Resta, technical director of the team. “Having made the choice not to develop the car in 2021 has given us more time to focus on the new car, which will clearly be a plus for us.”
