Haas less penalized by its youth in Baku?

After a good start to the season, Haas F1 Team struggles to classify its cars in the points. His last top ten dates back to the Russian Grand Prix contested on May 1 when Romain Grosjean took eighth place on the Sochi track.

Haas F1 Team is now preparing for the European Grand Prix contested this June 19 on the urban circuit of Baku (Azerbaijan), a track which will be new for all the teams and where the American structure should be less penalized by its lack of experience .

“The bigger teams have more information because they go there to get it, warns Günther Steiner, Team Principal of Haas F1 Team. They are normally better because their staff is better prepared. They always have an advantage, but we can sometimes be lucky in a new event like the one in Baku. »

Romain Grosjean, 14th place over the weekend at the Canadian GP and 11th in the Championship tied on points with Daniil Kvyat, shares his boss's opinion.

“The more experienced a team is, the more well prepared it is for new circuits. On the other hand, no one knows what to expect in Baku and it will be interesting for us”, adds the former GP2 champion.
