Haas has reacted to Kevin Magnussen's hand operation which could compromise its preparation for the 2023 season.

Was it Kevin Magnussen missed the 24 2023 Hours of Daytona (January 28-29)? Waited on the Porsche 911 GT3 from MDK Motorsports with his father Jan, Mark Kwamme and Trenton Estep, the Dane could be missing at the end of the month.

The cause ? An unexpected operation on one of his hands which will take place next week to remove a cyst. “ My wrist was hurting so I went to the doctor to get it checked out and they found a cyst that needs to be removed now so I can be ready for the season. F1, explained the Haas driver. It's a minor procedure, but I'll probably need to rest for a few weeks afterward. I'll have to wait and see what the doctor says, but it's unlikely I'll be able to race at Daytona »

Haas reacts to Magnussen's announcement

The news spreading quickly on the web, Haas decided to react. Through a short two-sentence press release, the American team closely followed the situation of Kevin Magnussen.

« Kevin Magnussen kept the team informed about his need to undergo minor hand surgerycan we read. The team hopes Kevin will be back to 100% capacity for pre-season testing next month (23-25). » We might as well warn you right away that it is very unlikely to see the Dane take the start of the 24 Hours of Daytona in a few days...
