Haas remains confident despite its electrical concerns

Haas F1 Team again saw its VF19 cause several interruptions on track this Wednesday. The American team caused three red flags due to electrical problems.

“The third day was better than the day before even if we encountered a lot of problems. Development is still progressing well. We had electrical problems linked to the engine, which was also the cause of the fuel pressure problems. We still have time to resolve these concerns given the days of testing still to be run.", comments Team Principal Günther Steiner.

Haas F1 Team was still able to accumulate more than a hundred laps with test driver Pietro Fittipaldi and Romain Grosjean.

“We come back to the garage a little too often with the 4×4, recognizes the former GP2 champion. We had a lot of small problems, but we did a lot of laps to identify the problems with the car and resolve them. But the car has evolved well over the course of testing even if we can do even better. »

“The feelings progress. The car responds well to everything that is asked of it. We are not yet looking for the last tenths. It seems better than last year. I feel like I can do what I want overall despite a bit of understeer. We should test a new chassis next week to validate the changes and check all the parts,” specifies the French pilot.
