Haas remains cautious about its objectives

Sixth place in Romain Grosjean at the Australian Grand Prix offered great hopes to Haas F1 Team for the rest of the season. The result could have been even better without the abandonment of Esteban Gutiérrez, victim ofcontact with Fernando Alonso's McLaren MP4-31.

The American team will again seek to make an impression on April 3 in Bahrain, but its objectives nevertheless remain measured. “Our program works, but we won't finish in sixth place every weekend. We must therefore remain cautious about our expectations”, commented Günther Steiner, Team Principal of Haas F1 Team. “We proved that you can immediately move into the middle of the pack with a new team. We weren't behind in Australia, which was one of our goals, and I don't think we'll finish last this year. »

“We are not arrogant following our result and we will lack performance in certain events”, added Günther Steiner. “This result was received very positively in America. Even those who don't follow F1 consider it a great success on the part of the USA, which has not been present in the discipline for around thirty years. »
