Simone Resta (Haas): “Still a lot of performance to achieve”

The first technical director in the history of Haas F1 Team was the mastermind behind the design of the VF-22, which allowed the team to make its big return to the points after two years of struggle. He talks about the progress of the American structure and intends to further nibble on the competition rather than looking behind.

Considering the result obtained in Bahrain, we imagine that it is a happy technical director who is standing before us...

Quite happy, indeed. As you know, the start of the season was very complicated for us, with quite a few major upheavals, concerning our sponsors, our drivers and the livery of the car (reference to Nikita Mazepin and Uralkali. Editor’s note). We also had a freight problem before the Bahrain tests which didn't make our life any easier. So it was particularly eventful. Despite all that, we were able to have a very clean first race, despite some small problems in qualifying.
