Haas aims for better ranking in 2017

Haas F1 Team had surprised the paddock by securing the top ten three times at the start of the season, but the American team then fell back into line. Its performances remain honorable for a first season since Gene Haas' structure finished in 8th place in the Constructors' Championship with a good lead over Renault, Sauber and Manor.

Gene Haas, the owner of the team of the same name, hopes to see his team progress in the hierarchy.

“If we can do a little better by taking advantage of our operations in F1 to be more efficient, we should be able to move up a place or two”, warned the American businessman.

The latter nevertheless remains aware that the task will not be easy with the numerous changes made this year. Haas F1 Team will have to deal with the new regulations and the replacement of Esteban Gutiérrez by Kevin Magnussen.

“There are positives and negatives. On the one hand, we no longer have to prepare the mechanics or the infrastructure because everything is in place. But we have less time to be ready with all these changes, analyzed Gene Haas. We do, however, have stronger ties with our suppliers and this should make our lives easier. It will be as difficult as last year, but we should be a little more efficient with the knowledge acquired. »
