It only took three Grand Prix before Isack Hadjar unlocked his points counter in Formula 1The Racing Bulls driver earned his first four points in the premier class thanks to his 8th place at the Japanese Grand Prix. The day after a brilliant qualifying session, with a 7th place on the starting grid, the French driver perfectly controlled his race from start to finish. Powerless against the Ferrari de Lewis Hamilton, logically faster than the Racing Bulls, the rookie was then never worried about his 8th position, which he maintained throughout the race.

After his pit stop, Isack Hadjar even made a nice overtake on the Williams de Carlos Sainz, which still had to stop. A crucial maneuver to avoid the return ofAlexander albon and thus secure his 8th place at the finish. By scoring his first four points, the Parisian becomes the 39th Frenchman in history to score points in Formula 1. Points that finally reward the Racing Bulls driver's strong start to the season, frustrated by an off-track in Australia and his team's poor strategy in China. Above all, Isack Hadjar finished well ahead of his new teammate, Liam Lawson, who was invisible this Sunday at Suzuka. A good omen for the rest of the championship.
Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls), 8th in the Japanese GP (Canal+) : "This 8th place is truly a merit and it's almost a perfect weekend. We couldn't have done better. This morning, we knew that Lewis [Hamilton] was going to get through in any case, we weren't racing against him. We knew we were going to fight with Albon, and we drove a perfect race."
"I got off to a better start than [Hamilton], I was even a bit of a threat to Antonelli, but the positions remained fixed. Afterwards, with the pace he had, he overtook me, but it was cool to fight with him. (…) [The overtaking on Sainz] scared me a lot! But above all, I'm very tired: the average speed was just enormous, there was no deterioration and it was getting faster and faster on every lap. On a track like this, it's very tiring, my neck is just destroyed!"

He made THE overtake of the race! Fast, no mistakes, he's well placed to replace Verstappen next year when the latter is at Aston.

Well deserved, especially since he was discovering a track that his new teammate knew very well! Let's hope that this good Doktor Helmooooout will let himself go for his entire apprenticeship season at Ridiculous Bulls

The first points were quick to come for a rookie who was extremely fast in qualifying. This bodes well, but let's hope that the next step isn't the wheel of the second RB and that he can attract the attention of another team to escape the trap that is the Red Bull system.
