For Isack Hadjar, there was unfortunately no third consecutive Q3 after those in China and Japan more recently. However, there was clearly room to slip into it when looking at the timesheet for this qualifying session for the Bahrain Grand Prix in a field that was tighter than ever.
Twelfth under the checkered flag in Q2, the Tricolore took the door by less than a tenth. 0 very precisely on Yuki tsunoda, a happy 10th and last qualifier for Q3 this Saturday evening. A result that was inevitably disappointing for him, who always aims for the best, even if he didn't seem really surprised in the end, admitting to having suffered a lot throughout the session.
« It's frustrating, he regretted on Canal +. Half a tenth… I was struggling throughout qualifying. Honestly, I think I had a good lap, but the second part was less so. I lost the tires, I had no feeling with the car, so it's disappointing.
The wind has changed today (SATURDAY). We had good feelings here (Friday) to a completely different car today »
Looking ahead to the Grand Prix this Sunday (17 p.m.), Isack Hadjar expects degradation to play a significant role after two very monotonous last races.
« It will be new because I have not yet done a Grand Prix where we had a lot of degradation. He says. In China and Japan we've always been full-throttle. Here, we'll have to use our heads because there's a good shot to be made. »

With the degradation of the tires which could spare the 2 McLarens, everything remains open behind given the small gaps observed in qualifying
