While Max Verstappen is threatened with a Grand Prix suspension, the predictions are rife. Indeed, after the Spanish Grand Prix, the four-time World Champion only has one point left on his license after his controversial collision with George Russell. Could Isack Hadjar replace the Dutchman during the season in the event of another rout? More generally, the question of a promotion of the Frenchman, in the medium or long term, within the Austrian team, already seems to be raised.
Yuki tsunoda does not meet expectations any more than its predecessors, and the laudatory statements of Christian Horner and Helmut Marko continue to support the Tricolore. “Hadjar is the big surprise of the season, Helmut Marko confided. Whatever the circuit, he is immediately fast. He delivers superb performances everywhere. We knew he was fast, but the fact that he is so consistent and drives relatively easily is also a surprise for us.
In this context, the director of the Racing Bulls team, Peter Bayer, also took a position with the newspaper Blick, urging Red Bull to be patient regarding the rookie. “For heaven's sake, don't take this talent away from us too soon, the Team Principal joked about his driver. He should know the specifics of the job by the end of 2026. In the meantime, he'll just have to be handcuffed!"
Rosberg also advises Hadjar
World champion in 2016 with Mercedes, and now a consultant for Sky Sports, Nico Rosberg also echoed this sentiment. From the German's perspective, rushing Isack Hadjar would not serve him well in the long run. "If I were Hadjar now, if the team ever started talking about promotion, I would refuse." he clearly announced."I would refuse as much as I could. He's doing a great job with Racing Bulls, he's in a great position. All he has to do is categorically decline, say 'no way'." added Rosberg, convinced of his position.
At this point, the fact is that the runner-up of Formula 2 is in good form. The Racing Bulls appears sharper this year, easier to handle than the RB-21, which is visibly much more delicate in terms of grip. Although in good shape, Isack Hadjar remains a beginner, and would seem, in light of these statements, to be well advised to perfect his apprenticeship before jumping in at the deep end. For the moment, no driver has managed to emerge from the pool victorious, except for the inevitable Max Verstappen.

I've also seen other advice along similar lines on other posts. It's becoming obvious to everyone that the 2nd RB seat is the last place to go. By constantly throwing drivers around by imposing a car that only Verstappen can master (and even then, he's no longer able to regularly compete for victory), RBR is the victim of a sort of justified boycott. In this game, they lost the constructors' title at the start of the season and have no other solution than to sacrifice a driver who has no future with them. It can't go on like this, something will have to change. Verstappen holds the key to the problem, if he leaves at the end of 2026 disappointed by the Ford engine. RB will then need to rebuild around a new leader and with a new technical direction.

From GBS... it makes good sense to let him do his apprenticeship at Ridiculous Bulls! No rush to burn his wings too early at Red Bull... Bottas has come forward and said he's available!

Isack and Liam must stay at Racing Bulls, and until the end of the season, and after that Isack can take the risk of going to RBR, but before that ……. 😎👀👍
