Hamilton warns rivals after seven titles: 'I feel this is just the beginning'

The passion of Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) for his profession is undeniable. Despite 94 victories acquired in 14 seasons of Formula 1, the English pilot is not satisfied and even less jaded by his exceptional trajectory.

His behavior in the closed park of Istanbul (Türkiye), after joining Michael Schumacher with a seventh Drivers’ World Championship title, was marked by emotion.

“I remember watching Michael win the championships in the 2000s. You hear all the drivers saying how hard they are trying their best. Winning even one crown is so difficult. But seven is simply unimaginable.

Yet when you work with a group of people and everyone listens and talks to each other, there is no limit to what we can build together. I'm so proud of what we did. They trusted me with the tire strategy today. What a day ! »

Lewis Hamilton also let slip a word that says a lot about his appetite. Rivals must be upset. " I feel like this is just the beginning, it’s quite strange. I feel physically and mentally in great shape.

This year has probably been the most complicated to manage for millions of people and I know that on the surface, everything looks fine, but that also applies to us, athletes. »

As a result, the rumors concerning a possible early retirement of No. 44 no longer exist, or almost. “I would love to stay in F1 next year. I want to help F1 and Mercedes in their adventure. I also want to see if I can be involved in the cleaner sport issue, at least the first part of this movement. »
