Hamilton has 'much more respect' for Vettel

The Azerbaijan GP was a highlight of the 2017 season since it was in Baku that the rivalry between Lewis Hamilton et Sebastian Vettel was the most palpable. The pilot Ferrari had notably hit the Mercedes of the Briton while the safety car was on the track.

“It’s a good thing to see the fire that animates your opponents. It's good to see that they're not perfect, like everyone else I think, said Lewis Hamilton. We all make mistakes, but we must instead learn from their way of progressing and managing the situation. I have a lot more respect for him and I'm sure that will continue because he is always evolving. »

Lewis Hamilton is nevertheless going through a difficult time since his team has not won for three races, a first since the implementation of the 6l turbo/hybrid V1.6.

“It’s only been three races, put the Briton into perspective, but it's not going to be easy and it's going to take a lot of work to evolve to our best level. The others have clearly progressed. We have also made progress, but they have made more progress. »

Lewis Hamilton came back to nine points behind Sebastian Vettel after the Bahrain GP following the Ferrari driver's poor performance.
