Hamilton: “It’s the victories that count”

Lewis Hamilton was kept in line by Nico Rosberg in qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The reigning double world champion, beaten for the sixth consecutive time in this exercise by his teammate, failed almost four tenths from the first Mercedes after being in difficulty on his mount.

“I was much more comfortable at the start of the year”, admitted the three-time world champion. “I tried a few modifications for this weekend. I'm a little disappointed in a few areas of my car, but I couldn't do anything to beat (Nico Rosberg). I was struggling all weekend, but Nico did a very good job today, especially in Q3. »

Lewis Hamilton nevertheless remains confident for the race since he took a direct advantage at the start during the last edition of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix while Nico Rosberg started from pole.

“No matter my place on the grid, It’s the victories and titles that count. I have room for improvement on my car and I'm sure I'll be in the game.", added Lewis Hamilton.

The start of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place tomorrow at 14 p.m. French time and will be followed in live text on AUTOhebdo.fr and live on Canal+.
