Hamilton defends Vettel: “Show a little more respect to Sebastian”

Criticized for his erratic ride during the Japanese Grand Prix held at Suzuka (6th after a collision with Max Verstappen), Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) received rather unexpected support from his No. 1 rival, Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes).

The Briton published a message on his Instagram account on Tuesday morning in which he defended the Scuderia driver. “I feel like the media should show Sebastian a little more respect.”, estimates the four-time world champion.

“You just can't imagine how difficult it is to do what we do at our level, for any athlete at the top level, continues Lewis Hamilton. We must expect that, As humans we make mistakes, but it's how you deal with them that matters."

Lewis Hamilton is 67 points ahead of Sebastian Vettel with four rounds remaining and could even be titled at the meeting in Austin (Texas) at the end of October.
