Sonny Hayes has definitely been around the world, but a sequel wouldn't be to your taste. Lewis HamiltonThe seven-time world champion contributed as a producer to the budget of Joseph Kosinski's film, estimated at more than $250 million.

The pilot Ferrari, who will aim for a tenth victory after that of 2024 in front of his home crowd at the start at 16 p.m. this Sunday Silverstone Grand Prix, prefer for now " enjoy " of the film's success F1. With $144 million collected in its first weekend, therefore 5,4 in France, the feature film achieved the best box office start of an "Apple Original", far ahead Napoleon (79 million) and Killers of the Flower Moon (44 millions).

If Sonny Hayes is happy to live self-sufficiently in his caravan, Brad Pitt will certainly not refuse his fee of 30 million dollars (26 M€) for his incarnation of the driver coming out of retirement. For comparison, according to estimates, this would place him among the top 5 of the highest-paid drivers on the grid in 2025, tied with Charles Leclerc, behind Lando Norris (€30 million), Fernando Alonso (€30 million), Max Verstappen (€72 million) and Lewis Hamilton (€80 million).

"This represents four years of work. We have to let it all settle down, let's enjoy it."

A deserved success for the Briton who, where Sonny Hayes first took the wheel of the APXGP, has to date recorded twelve consecutive podiums at Silverstone, with a thirteenth in his sights this Sunday. "This represents four years of work, especially for Joseph [Kosinski, director, Editor's note], time away from family, away from children. We have to let all of this settle, let's enjoy it.", he replies to Associated Press.

"We literally just finished it, so I think the last thing we want is a sequel. I think the worst thing we could probably do is rush into a new script." Joseph Kosinski is particularly known for his work on Top Gun: Maverick, released in theaters in 2022, 36 years after the first opus.

"Most sequels are worse, so we shouldn't rush anything. I think if we're going to do a sequel, let's really, really take our time to make it even better.", tempers Lewis Hamilton. It is time for patience according to the seven-time world champion, especially since, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the duo Joseph Kosinski-Jerry Bruckheimer would already be launched on a new project far from the film F1 : a conspiracy thriller about UFOs…
