Hamilton had the right reflex at Silverstone

Lewis Hamilton celebrates his 5th victory of the season at Silverstone, the 38th of his career in F1, winning for the British GP for the third time. However, the race started badly for the Briton who lost two positions at the start face to Williams by Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas. “My clutch didn't have any problems this time, but I didn't have good grip. I think that's what happened to Nico Rosberg as well.", explained the winner of the weekend, referring to his bad start at the Austrian GP.

The pilot Mercedes managed to regain his due by being the first driver among the contenders for victory to pass through the pits. “The race was very difficult. The battle against the Williams was complicated, but I was able to get close enough to regain the advantage during my stop,” confirmed the Championship leader.

More Lewis Hamilton built his success by being the fastest to go through the pits when the rain arrived at Silverstone at the end of the race while his teammate Nico Rosberg returns to his W06 Hybrid. “The rain then arrived and I lost temperature in my tires. It's even harder when you're in the lead and you're the first to have to choose. I think this is the first time in my career where I've done the right thing by stopping when the rain comes.", rejoiced the double world champion.

Lewis Hamilton will enter the Hungarian GP on July 26 with a 17-point lead over Nico Rosberg.
