Hamilton 'proud' of Vettel's T-shirt in Hungary

Before the start of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel stood out from the other pilots by wearing a t-shirt with the inscription “Same Love”, in support of the fight for equal rights for LGBT+ people. A sensitive subject in Hungary since the government recently passed a law “anti-LGBT” where it is written that “Pornography and content that depicts sexuality or promotes gender identity deviation, sex reassignment and homosexuality should not be accessible to those under 18.” Hungary is not at its first attempt on the subject.
Unfortunately for Sebastian Vettel, he received a reprimand for not respecting FIA protocol which requires drivers to remove their t-shirts during the national anthem. What Vettel responded to " I do not care ! They can disqualify me, I'll do it again anyway. It’s important to show our support for those who are affected by certain political decisions.”

Great defender of the cause of minorities, Lewis Hamilton says he is proud of the pilot's attitude Aston Martin during the Hungarian round.
“It’s wonderful to see how much Seb (Vettel) supported the LGBT+ this weekend, says Hamilton. I've been talking about it since the start of the weekend. I think it was important for him to do that. He probably won't have too many problems. »
The new championship leader has regularly shown his support for different causes on the starting grids, notably last year when he wore his “Black Lives Matter” t-shirt.
“We must support these causes. It's important to push for diversity in our sport and in general. I am proud of what Vettel has done. »

There is no doubt that Vettel and Hamilton will have the same attitude when passing the F1 in Saudi Arabia at the end of the season where respect for human rights is almost absent. The country is in 156th place out of 167 in the ranking of states in the world by democracy index.
