Hamilton remembers his retirement from last year

Lewis Hamilton sent a clear message by taking pole at the Australian GP in Melbourne with more than half a second ahead of his teammate Nico Rosberg. The double world champion remembers with bitterness his retirement due to an engine problem during the first event of the 2014 season even though he also started from pole.

“Victory is not imperative as we saw last year. It's not the end of the world if I have a bad race. But the plan is obviously to achieve a better one this year and this result is the first step in moving in that direction.”, declared the Australian GP pole sitter.

Lewis Hamilton was very comfortable behind the wheel of the Mercedes W06 and appears as the best contender for victory. The reigning world champion knows that his mount should be more reliable than his older sister. “I don’t feel like it’s been a long time since the last race… We found a good balance and I just had to attack”, added the Briton.
