Hamilton, happy as a blueprint

Lewis Hamilton took pole position in a very logical way, as the driver was quick throughout the qualifying session. But the Briton had to work hard during his last fast lap to erase the time of Adrian Sutil (Force India). The world champion also widely commented on the German?s performance after qualifying. “ I don't think we've appeared together at a press conference since the F3, says Hamilton. »

« It was really close in this qualifying session and I'm really happy to see Adrian alongside me. They (Force India, editor's note) are really impressive, being very competitive », continues the reigning world champion. “ But we did a good job this weekend. And this pole feels like it's the first time I've achieved it, so I'm very happy. We got it together but we didn't think we would be so fast »

Benefiting from the SREC, Lewis Hamilton can hope to make a good start to try to quickly widen the gap at the head of the peloton. “ The SREC should help us, the two races that I competed in here were successful for me so I hope to be able to take advantage of my pole. The most important thing is to negotiate the first chicane well. »
