Hamilton impressed by Rosberg's reaction

Lewis Hamilton celebrates his second world title following his victory at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, six years after the first obtained in 2008 at the Brazilian GP. The Briton took a decisive advantage by making a magnificent start against the pole sitter to take the lead of the race. But the duel experienced its last turning point of the year when the W05 of Nico Rosberg suffered mechanical problems. “We wanted to run, we got part of that run. I know how difficult it must have been for him to ride without all the power. I experienced this and he has all my compassion”, commented the new double world champion on Sky Sports.

The pilot Mercedes was marked by the attitude of his rival who remained dignified in defeat and who came to congratulate him even before the podium ceremony. “He came up to me after the race and said, 'Congratulations,' which was really professional. No one told him to do it, he took this initiative on his own. He impressed me,” added Lewis Hamilton on the British channel.
