Hamilton: “The Mercedes W08 looks like a boat”

Lewis Hamilton shared his thoughts on social media after seeing the Mercedes W08. The Briton seems to have been surprised by the lines of his future mount which seem clearly different compared to his predecessor.

“I have seen her since she was born until today seeing her in the wind tunnel, explained the three-time world champion. The 2009 car seemed terrible because it was different, but we managed to get used to it and the older models seemed strange. I think it will be the same. »

“It looks like a boat. It seems much more imposing by being both wider and longer, continued the Briton. This car is very different from what we had a decade ago, especially in 2007-2008 when the space between the tank and the rear axle was reduced. But I'm convinced the spectators will like it with the wider tires. »

The Mercedes driver also returned to his comments stating thathe did not appreciate his team's policy of sharing data between the two garages.

“I would like to clarify this. I absolutely did not want to criticize my team. My views on data sharing only concern my feelings about the discipline in general. I've felt this since I started in F1 and this is still the case ten years later. I have no problem with my team and with Bottas », assured Lewis Hamilton.
