Hamilton will only think about winning

Lewis Hamilton was on the verge of adding another podium to his record at the European Grand Prix, but his collision with Pastor Maldonado put an end to all his hopes by causing him to retire with just one lap to go. The pilot McLaren knows that he must turn the page even if this disappointment was hard to accept while the Briton is fighting for the title. “Sometimes you have to accept that things don't go as planned in a race. It was obviously frustrating to lose everything so close to the finish but that’s part of motorsport. We have to put this behind us and move on to the next race which, fortunately, takes place on my home circuit at Silverstone. »

With two podiums and a victory in 2008, the former world champion is impatient to return to the British circuit where he will only have victory as his objective to definitively forget his disappointment in Valencia and win once again on his lands. “This disappointment is not going to change the way I race because I race to win and that’s what I will do again, especially for my national Grand Prix. This race is special for me because I receive great additional motivation from the public. Being on the top step of the podium in 2008 was one of the best moments of my career. »
