Hamilton: no better races in sight

If the GPDA recently published an open letter to the attention of the shareholders of the F1, consequence of the new qualifying format which was particularly criticized at the Australian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton prefers not to be involved in the politics of the discipline.

“There has been a lot of discussion about the regulations and that drivers should be more involved in decision-making. It's not our job to come up with ideas and we have different opinions anyway.", commented the pilot Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton nevertheless once again pointed out the difficulty for drivers to overtake due to aerodynamics not conducive to close battles on the track. The Mercedes driver seems not very confident about the tracks envisaged for the development of the future regulations.

“We need more mechanical grip and less aerodynamic disturbance at the rear of the cars in order to be able to get closer and overtake. Improving performance by five seconds per lap with aero won't change anything, we'll just go faster. I speak as someone who loves running. I don't have all the answers, but I know these changes won't make for better racing.", said the Briton.
