Hamilton more satisfied than Button in Singapore

After failing by only 49 thousandths of Sebastian Vettel in the first session, Jenson Button was closest to the driver Red Bull in the second finishing three tenths behind the German. However, the 2009 world champion seems to suffer from the lack of balance which prevented him from getting ahead of the first RB8 which was regaining form with Pirelli's soft tyres. “I don’t feel like I’ve found my rhythm yet, the surface remains dirty after the showers that fell this morning. I'm also not completely happy with the balance. Not all of our changes made in the second session worked but we still have a few ideas for tomorrow, which is positive. We should be competitive if we find the right settings. »

Lewis Hamilton seems more optimistic than his teammate even if he ends the second session more than seven tenths behind Sebastian Vettel. His result comes in part from an error made in his fast lap and the 2008 world champion seems more comfortable behind the wheel of his MP4-27. "Our car has a good balance but we still need some changes to the settings. It's difficult with these temperatures, especially in the long relays, but it's the case for everyone. I went a little wide in the second session in my fast lap and probably lost five tenths. My pace didn't look fantastic from the cockpit but my engineers told me it looked promising. The track should clear up tomorrow and tire degradation should be less of a problem. We are in the top five but it will be a very tough battle for pole tomorrow. We will look to improve the balance tomorrow for the long runs but our speed is not too bad to start. »
