Hamilton 'ready to win' in Abu Dhabi

Lewis Hamilton will only need a 2nd place this weekend at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to win his second world title against his teammate Nico Rosberg. His 2nd place in Sao Paulo behind his German rival allowed him to maintain a 17-point lead before the last race of the season where the points will be doubled. “It didn’t go exactly as planned, but it was a satisfactory result given the circumstances. It was a great moment to break the doubles record. »

The challenge for the pilot Mercedes will be to manage the pressure that a second title represents. The Briton also seems to have an advantage over his opponent who has never tasted the flavor of the coronation. “People talk to me about how long it’s been since my title, but I feel like I’m fighting for my first Championship again. I am obviously older (29 years old) and more seasoned. I have learned a lot since 2008 but I remain the same driver. I still have the same desire to win. I have had ups and downs since the start of the season but I have never given up. I managed to pull myself together and my approach to this race will not change. »

Lewis Hamilton will be aiming for the best result at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix which he won in 2011. However, the former world champion has not been particularly successful in recent years at the Yas Marina circuit as he has not took only 7th place last year although he retired in 2012 after starting from pole. “I've had some bad luck in recent years, particularly in 2012. I hope bad luck won't come into play this time but I know the team is doing everything to ensure that doesn't happen. I feel relaxed, confident and ready to conquer. »
