Hamilton delighted for his mechanics

Lewis Hamilton ended his black streak by winning the Monaco Grand Prix last weekend, his first victory of the season. The pilot's poor start to the season Mercedes had given rise to rumors of favoritism within the team, the three-time world champion having swapped mechanics with Nico Rosberg.

“The first five races proved that anything could go wrong”, commented the Briton, quoted by The Times. “There are still issues to be resolved. We have to do our best because the pressure is greater than ever with the other teams getting closer. We are the best team but we need to improve on certain points. »

Lewis Hamilton's poor results were mostly due to mechanical problems beyond the driver's ability.

“(This victory) will be a motivation for my mechanics who have been nervous since the start of the season. It's not easy to come and work on the reigning champion's car. Because of the problems they encountered, they probably thought they were not doing the right thing, but they are doing it and it is a great reward for them. I'm glad they stayed with me.", confirmed Lewis Hamilton.
