Hamilton remains cautious despite his pole at the Chinese GP

The pole of Lewis Hamilton at the Chinese GP confirms the predictions. After being the fastest during the three practice sessions, the pilot Mercedes scored his third consecutive pole of the season, remaining undefeated this year in this exercise. The Briton excels in this exercise in Shanghai since he will start from first position on the grid of the Chinese circuit for the third time in a row.

" There car behaves very well since the first tests », comments Lewis Hamilton who signed the 41st pole of his career. « Nico (Rosberg) and the Ferrari were very fast. The Scuderia has always been comfortable on long stints here. Fernando (Alonso) won there in 2013. The race should be close. »

Despite his positive result, Lewis Hamilton therefore remains wary of the competition. His teammate Nico Rosberg almost took pole away from him. “I’m frustrated because it was so close. We have to be when the gap is only 4 hundredths.", admits the German to conquer his first victory this season. “I will have some opportunities with the start, the strategy and the degradation of the tires. The tires will be taken to their limits and this will create opportunities to take the advantage... Ferrari remains a threat because they have good pace in the race. »

The race will start tomorrow at 8 a.m. French time and can be followed live on AUTOhebdo.fr.
