Hamilton explains his absence in London

Lewis Hamilton explained his absence at the event F1 Live produced this Wednesday July 12 in London just before the British GP. The titular pilots were present to take part in a demonstration on the streets of the British capital, with the exception of the pilot Mercedes who spent a few days off in Greece.

“People will make up their own minds, but I'm trying to do my best and it's a very intense season. I try to prepare myself in the best possible way for the upcoming fight. Others have other ways of doing things. I love this Grand Prix and I don't think the day before could have had an impact on the weekend." comments Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton also did not follow the event which was broadcast on the web, preferring to distance himself from F1 which offers a very busy calendar with 3 Grands Prix in July.

“I haven't been on my cell phone for the last few days because I've been trying to log out. I just turned it on a few times to check my messages, recognizes Lewis Hamilton. I informed the organizers last week about my absence. I also spoke to Toto wolff (the executive chairman of Mercedes Motorsport) and I informed the team. They perfectly understood and respected my decision. When I go to see kids in the hospital who can't come to a Grand Prix, it's not taken up. »

The F1 paddock will be able to breathe after the Hungarian GP played on July 30 at the Hungaroring in Budapest.
