Hamilton: “We were walking around after the 6th lap”

Lewis Hamilton was not kind to Pirelli after the Monaco GP. The Championship leader even seemed quite frustrated at not having been able to threaten Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) to try to take second place, the Briton having suffered with his tires for most of the race.

“We were walking around after the sixth lap once the positions were established. We were really on a stroll. It wasn’t really a race.”, launched Lewis Hamilton at a press conference when the driver Mercedes was asked to comment on the performance of the tires in Monaco.

Lewis Hamilton can nevertheless be satisfied with dropping only three points to Sebastian Vettel before the Canadian GP played on June 10 where he won last year.

“I don’t know at all if it will be better or worse in Montreal. I guess it will be a little better since there will be fewer sharp turns. Daniel (Ricciardo) did a great job today and I'm very happy for him, but we all just rode to the finish. I don't know if it was interesting for you to follow. If so, there is no problem.”, added the four-time world champion.
