Hamilton more interested in Alonso than Button

Lewis Hamilton joined Mercedes AMG F1 this winter and was able to be satisfied with the apparent good performance of the W04 at the winter tests in Barcelona where the Flèche d'Argent achieved the best times of the sessions. The 2008 world champion will obviously closely follow the performances of McLaren and his former teammate Jenson Button after leaving Woking for Brackley. Nevertheless, the Briton will be mainly focused on Fernando Alonso who remains his greatest adversary for him.

“Beating (Jenson Button) doesn’t really excite me.”, recognized the new recruit of the Stuttgart manufacturer in the Daily Mail. “The rivalry between Fernando and myself interests me more, he’s the driver I want to beat. We all also want to beat Seb (Hag), they are the ones who have the most titles. But Alonso is the fastest driver in my eyes, he has the most experience. Everyone suffers to beat him. It’s a great challenge to try to finish in front of Alonso who is at the wheel of a Ferrari actually really competitive. I think Ferrari will be fast this year. »
