After a race delayed by rain and full of twists and turns, Lando Norris won with success. Thus, like last year, the timing of the safety car's exit saved him in the final laps. Oscar piastri et Lewis Hamilton complete the podium.
It must be said that the first ten or so drivers all ran on intermediate tires. Then the race became more lively when the track dried. Yuki tsunoda then… Lewis Hamilton actually started the salvo of pit stops to switch to slick tires.
At the end of the race, like Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in front of him, the driver of the Team, who had achieved a marvel of overtaking on Max Verstappen shortly before, took advantage of the Safety Car to secure third place. Naturally, at the finish, the English legend was satisfied with his race and his strategy.
Hamilton: "I would have loved to have two green-flag laps at the end to try and get at the McLarens"
“The crowd is so good today. I’m so happy with this result; it’s been a tough season so far. I never imagined it would rain in Miami; it’s the first time we’ve ridden in the rain here. And what a race it was! Thanks to everyone. I really struggled with the intermediates, like everyone else.”, he reacted hotly to the microphone of Romain Grosjean.
“I decided to come in late in the race because I wasn’t going anywhere. So I took a gamble, and it paid off. I would have loved to have two green-flag laps at the end to try on the McLaren, but that's how it is. Bravo to them, as always," Lewis Hamilton still admitted.
Norris wins ahead of Piastri and Hamilton! 🏁

Later, in a press conference, the Briton admitted that despite this good result, he too could have never seen the start of the race. Like his teammate, the choice of intermediate tires during the grid lap, after the race itself, could have cost the team dearly. “I was right behind Charles, he recalled. I had exactly the same thing as him but the car stopped just before the wall."
In light of this statement, the fault of Charles Leclerc could be mitigated by a judgment that was probably too optimistic on the part of Ferrari before the start. Sixth on the starting grid, the Monegasque should have started ahead of Lewis Hamilton, who ended up on the podium.
