Hamilton on a great conclusion to the Abu Dhabi GP

Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) seemed to win easily on the Yas Marina circuit which hosted the last Grand Prix of the season in Abu Dhabi. The pole sitter remained in the lead of the race to win with more than 16 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen (Red Bull).

This is the 5th time that the Briton has won on this track, giving his team a 6th consecutive victory at this meeting. The six-time world champion won his 11th victory of the season and the 84th of his career (7 wins from the record Michael Schumacher). He remains the only one to have scored points in every race this year.

Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) completed the podium, but the result remains provisional due toa possible violation of the technical regulations.

Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) climbed back to the foot of the podium after starting from the back of the grid following its engine change. The Finn was even able to threaten the Ferrari which stopped twice. His race was complicated by a technical problem preventing the drivers from activating their DRS during the first part of the event.

Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) completes the Top 5 in front Alexander albon after an attack at the end of the race, but the SF90s were still lacking pace on this circuit. The four-time world champion lost time following a missed stop.

Sergio Pérez (Racing Point) took the points for 7th place, preceding Lando Norris (Mclran) who carried out an aggressive strategy by completing a very long first stint. Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso) followed in 9th place ahead Carlos Sainz Jr. (McLaren) whose point scored allows him to take 6th place in the championship against Pierre Gasly (Rosso Bull).

The Renault de Daniel Ricciardo et Nico Hulkenberg failed to reach the points, but the Losange retains its 5th place in the Manufacturers' championship. For his last race, the former winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans was in 10th place before crashing on the last lap.

Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) finished 13th ahead of Les Has de Kevin Magnussen et Romain Grosjean. Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo) finished 16th after clashing with Robert Kubica (Williams) who finished last behind his teammate George Russell and Pierre Gasly. The Frenchman saw his race destroyed after being caught at the start. Lance stroll (Racing Point) is the only one to have given up on returning to the garage.
