Hamilton: a masterfully managed race

Lewis Hamilton remained out of Nico Rosberg's reach at the Australian GP. The double world champion this time converted his pole into victory, unlike last year when he retired due to a mechanical problem, by maintaining the lead of the race against his teammate who was never able to come back within a second of the first W06 Hybrid.

“I tried to manage my lead once I had a two-second gap, there's no point in pushing more, but I was able to react when Nico increased the pace.”, explained the winner of the Australian GP. “The challenge was to manage the fuel and the tires, knowing that we didn't really know the limit of the rubber. »

Lewis Hamilton was still impressed by the return to the forefront of Ferrari, with the podium won by Sebastian Vettel. “Nico rode really well and Sebastian must have done a good job to be where he is. I haven't seen the times but I think Ferrari has really progressed. We could have a good fight with them. »
