Hamilton: “One of the best races”

Lewis Hamilton could hope for success at the Nürburgring after having achieved splendid qualifying which placed him on the first row of the starting grid alongside Mark Webber (Red Bull). The lead of the race was hotly contested, but the Briton finally prevailed to sign the 16th victory of his career in F1 after achieving his last success at the Chinese GP.

The pilot McLaren does not hide his joy at getting back on the first step of the podium. “All victories are special, but I think with the energy and effort we put into this car, achieving victory only becomes better », he comments.

Lewis Hamilton admits to being surprised by his pace on the German track. “I couldn't be more comfortable because we didn't expect to come here and be so fast”, specifies the Briton. ?We were struggling a bit in the last race, but the team did a fantastic job. It?s really great, I think it?s one of the best races of my career. »
