Hamilton: A mistake that costs Brazil dearly

Lewis Hamilton failed to continue his streak of five consecutive victories at the Brazilian Grand Prix which was won by Nico Rosberg who started from pole ahead of the Briton. But the 2008 world champion kept his word, fighting for first place until the checkered flag. After almost taking the lead at the start of the second stint, the Championship leader attacked when his rival stopped for the second time but his attempt ended in a spin.

“I think it cost me the victory”, recognizes Lewis Hamilton who maintained the pressure until the finish of the race by remaining less than a second from the winner. “ I was faster at that moment, a second faster per lap compared to Nico. I was planning to stop at the end of this tour. But I locked my wheels in turn 4 and spun. This is the second time this has happened to me this weekend. No one is to blame but me. »

Lewis Hamilton can remain calm despite double points at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 23. The Briton will be assured of the title if he takes second place.
